I live in Iowa where it is currently -9 (and will get much colder this weekend) and snowed in yet again, so Iām not sure my horticulture advice will be helpful, but I love planting nasturtiums. They are jolly and colorful as well as completely edible.
I would recommend you keep amending your soil with compost and maybe a little sand. Soil and souls produce better when enriched.

Well, let me tell you about the weather here in MN! Not thinking about growing season yet. Christmas tree still in and we give it grace til Feb 2. Who wants to see a Christmas tree freeze to death?

For shelving books, I take the High Fidelity route and shelve them autobiographically...some sort of emotional or memory connection between one and the other. š
This weather has been BONKERS! Here in WA we got rain right after freezing temps. When I woke up to learn that school was cancelled and looked out the window, seeing no snow, I had my Montanan reaction of PFFT. But then when I set foot on the driveway and slid down onto the ice skating rink of the street, & understood why driving wasn't possible. š
Can I be the spiritual director for the cast and crew of the movie? That sounds grand. I promise to wait the additional 1.25 years I have remaining in my training program before auditioning(?) for the role(?) of spiritual director for the long-overdue television adaptation of all 7 Narnia books.
