I loved reading this week's edition of 5QT. YES to more sharing what you're learning without the pressure of sharing links. Today's read felt so conversational.

I want to love linen so badly, but the wrinkles get me every time. I think my version of this is wool -- I have a wool& dress that I'm trying to wear one hundred times before the end of the year and it is AMAZING.

Also, I read the two poems for WRM to prep for our meeting last night and cried at the last lines of "Field". Committing that one to memory for my next poetry club.

I cried too! Those last lines… oof. I’m so glad we’re focusing on fatherhood in a book club for mothers. SO NEEDED.

I’m a fan of wool too! I just don’t wear it as much as a Texan. 😉 And I just embrace the wrinkles with linen — it’s part of the look! And they work themselves out, too, especially if you either line dry or flatten them straight out of the dryer.

And thanks for your feedback re: format. It felt more conversational to write, too, which made it more enjoyable on my end!

I much prefer your current 5QT that are happening NOW in your life. Also, book recommend for your downtime reading pleasure: AND NOW I SEE by Father Robert Barron. Not a quick read but a thoughtful one. Enjoy!

Thank you for the (mostlly) link-free 5QT: it's nice to read your thoughts without wondering each time how deep the proverbial rabbit hole descends!

I'm glad to hear, Brett!

I'm a fan of the (mostly) link-free conversation! Love just hearing what you're learning and thinking and doing. I have often delayed my reading the 5 Quick Things because of the links...waiting until I had more time to follow each link. This format makes me feel like I have time to just dive right in.

Thanks, Tsh, for all you share with us. :)

This makes sense to me, Elizabeth! If I were on the receiving end I'd do exactly the same. ...Appreciate your feedback!

I totally concur and appreciate this shift.

Yes there are those of us who loved Math, think basically in a concrete sequential manner but also love reading and words and artistic expressions. We have to leave our very black and white linear thinking existence to rest our brains in a world of flowing expressions.

I love this perspective. ☺️
