Tsh, thanks for the nudge to dig out Emily's watercolor workbooks. I've got the baking and the seaside ones and just thinking about them makes me relax and unwind a bit. Mmm ... maybe I'll find a quiet little corner to set up a painting nook where everything is ready to go at a moment's notice.

There should be a unique word for the feeling of release that comes with standing in the midst of natural beauty. The closest I've found is the Japanese shinrin-yoku, forest bathing, but it doesn't have to be a forest.

Yeah, their 'tree bath' word came to mind, too.

I would love to know more about your creative outlet sessions! Much of professional feels like it should be filling my creative bucket (it's a lot of writing), but I still feel a void. I've thought about building in short breaks to read beautiful poetry, write in my commonplace book, or something else. But flowing this into my calendar intentionally is tough!

It really is tough! Takes a lot of intentionality.

Now my husband is going to wonder why I asked if we could go camping for our anniversary.

I used to invite moms from the homeschool group over to do crafts or color or just chat. I miss those fun evenings. Might be time to do that again but maybe during the day so my youngest can have a friend or two over to play while us moms craft.

Yes!! Love Emily and her workbooks. She's semi-local to us and her brick & mortar is STUNNING. We stock her workbooks, stickers, cards, etc. in our barn, and they sell out in an instant when we get a new batch in! (OHHH and the tea towels...beauty)

Ooh! So fun, Kristin; I had no idea y'all were locals to each other.
