It is a natural check-in point, isn't it? And I know exactly the two feelings/states you're describing! Many years I have switched to unschooling toward the end of March, keeping up with math and reading practice but otherwise focusing on outings and taking advantage of the weather. That helped a lot when the kids were all young!
Love this! I am really enjoying the letters with Tate!
We were meeting with our Lenten prayer group last night and the question came up as to when Christians started celebrating Lent? Your link doesn’t work though. Any fixes?
At least three people mentioned Comer on the retreat I did at Mount Angel Abbey last month and now you, so I think I should maybe see what he’s writing. I hope your retreat is rejuvenating, that God speaks clearly, and that those tacos are delicious.
Also, eight years? Has it seriously been that long? Crazy.
I can't believe you've been teaching high school for eight years! That's so cool.
Isn’t it crazy? I still remember saying yes while leading Literary London and totally sure I was making a big mistake…. Time flies.

Yes and amen!

Oh really? Interesting — I’ll take a look.
Okay, interestingly it looks like the video was taken down on their end of things... However, it's still up in podcast form: https://open.spotify.com/episode/1B0hYtUcNSizCqz1TZMCE8?si=37612cfa47004093
One of the lines Chaz and I quote regularly from a John Mulroney special is "do all my friends hate me or do I just need to go to bed?"
Tate and I quote John Mulaney all the time, including that line!

I finally (finally!!) went on my first retreat, and now feel realize how important it is to prioritize these times when possible.
