5 Quick Things, #134 ☔️
John Krasinski is the best (Ryan Reynolds, too), Walt Whitman = relevant, & quarantine cutie
Hey there,
How are you holding up? Spring has brought a deluge of rain in our area, which makes it somewhat challenging to do the biggest sanity-saver of the moment: going outside. It’s my favorite hobby right now, even for a few minutes, even just in our backyard. I’m grateful for the rain, but I’m also walking Ginny every spare second I can, which is further proof she continues to live her best life. How’s the weather in your neck of the woods?
Also, in case you missed it: I’m temporarily changing up the rhythm of The Good List! Just for a while, since we’re all quarantined and doing our best to remember the good things to do and enjoy. More details below.
5 Quick Things ☕️
1. Three short episodes of TGL this week!: a temporary detour, some good news, and tip your people.
2. I’m keeping up with my year-long monthly series of writing a letter to myself 10 years ago — this week, I wrote about home, and what I’ve learned about it the past decade.
3. "I have not been drawn to shows or movies in my tiny pockets of spare time. I have been craving art that is quiet and calm." Yes, ma’am — here are three poems.
4. Kids popping in on Zoom work meetings. Relatable?
Quotable 💬
“You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep spring from coming.”
― Pablo Neruda

One year ago Jamie reminded us that if you’re feeling like a bad mom, there’s a good chance you’re just an introvert. (Boy, does that feel true right now?)
