Since I can't respond to your chat because I have an Android...

I am in Centerville, Utah, about 15 minutes north of Salt Lake City. And the last book I finished was Drew Barrymore's memoir of several years back, Wildflower.

Dorothy in Ocala, Florida here. It’s central, central FL: 90 miles to Orlando, Tampa, or either coast. Weathered Hurricane Ian in Ormond Beach, on the Atlantic coast, just north of Daytona. Never afraid but v.e.r.y respectful of the storm.

I was excited to begin The Red Tent by Anita Diamant but have set it aside for now because of unexpected amount of sexual content. I finished The Poisonwood Bible and it’s probably the only book my husband and I adamantly disagreed about (he hated it while I was intrigued by the author’s exploration of the differences in the sisters’ outcomes)

Reading from while visiting Birmingham AL and live in Starkville MS.

In October reread Sue Monk Kid’s The Secret Life of Bees for book club (several had not read it and those of us who had insisted that they do so Immediately!). Currently reading Out of Texas by Joseph Townsend and Anne Hart Preus because Anne’s a friend, co-wrote it and is coming as a guest to our next meeting.

Elizabeth from Springfield, MO.

I finished “A King’s Story: The Memoirs of the Duke of Windsor” over the weekend.

I borrowed it through our library from an out-of-town university right after Queen Elizabeth’s death. I have read a number of books on Winston Churchill, so this was an interesting read that filled in a few blanks.

Hi Tsh! I'm excited to join chats when it's available for Android (I, too, am a 'droid ;-) ). Thanks so much for expressing your interest in a web-based version of the chat. I would *also* much prefer to use it on a desktop rather than a phone (I also try to stay off my phone as much as I can).

As for me: I'm based just outside of Portland, Oregon. The last print book I finished was "What W. H. Auden Can Do For You" By Alexander McCall Smith (inspired by the last print book I finished before that, "Friends, Lovers, Chocolate" from McCall Smith's Isabel Dalhousie mystery series). And the last audiobook I read (because I always have one of those going too) was "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" with Simon Prebble as the narrator.

My most recent finish was Fox Creek by William Kent Krueger. It's the first I've read of his Cork O'Connor series and I thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to read the whole series.
