Ah the quote ❤️ the reminder that I need for a -2 degree HIGH for the weather this weekend 😭 I love hearing about parenting a few seasons ahead of me. I never thought the little season could go too fast, but my almost five year old was just so tiny and now she's so big 😭
One of my favorite things about these posts is the polls, and I love today's question about books! I clicked "random" as the closest thing, but my actual shelving style is mostly by height/size. Height rules all because if it can't fit, it can't fit!
My kids came up with this question because they make fun of me at how I'm SUCH a die-hard about alphabetical organization. I told them, "Should I word the choices, 'alphabetical, aka, the correct way' and 'all other ways, aka, the wrong ways'?" 🙃
Thanks to you, Tsh, I have rediscovered All Creatures Great and Small. I remember my mom loving the books when I was a teenager. I caught up on Seasons 1-3 during the holidays and am now savoring Season 4, one episode a week. I am also listening to the first book on my walks and frequently laughing out loud. What a balm for the soul!
How's the new season of All Creatures? (I'm so excited to see Mrs. H again!! As a sidebar - I managed to find the little St. Nicholas statue she keeps in the entry, and even though I've knocked it over a thousand times in our cramped hall, it makes me so happy).
I'm so looking forward to catching up on the podcast!
I love that you found that statue! And I love her — she's sorta like my patron/avatar these days (my youngest even said, after Mrs. H told Tristan that the keys were on the hall hook EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE, "Hey Mom, that sounds like you."). This new season is great! Sadder than I expected in some parts, and Tristan isn't in it at all, which is a bummer. But it's still beautiful, and I love how it ends!

It really is true! (both the quote and the truism about kids growing up...)

Ha! As my husband likes to say, "Yes, well, I've heard of two ways of doing that: my way, and the wrong way."
Exactly.

Isn't it so good? And yes, the audiobooks are excellent!
