Thanks for the mention, Tsh! So passionate about this topic, which I've only really realized by writing about it!
Love the thoughts on homemaking - the thing that annoyed me most about the speech everyone is talking about is the way he set up (well, reinforced, really) a dichotomy: that you either "stay home" or you "work." Homemaking can absolutely be done while also doing paid work - look forward to reading that piece later today.
Same! (Though I'll admit, this piece linked here on homemaking was a complete coincidence re: that speech... This edition was drafted before I'd even heard that speech.)
Now I feel like I should go there for breakfast .....
Ha! The “I’ll allow it” meme — bastion of transitional season parenting everywhere.
Yes! I bet you're on full-sombrero mode with your big move...
Love Fr. Mike. I slow the audio speed down to listen to him bc he talks SOOO fast tho.
Yep! He is. I'm used to it by now, though, and find it endearing!

Oh I agree. Fr. Mike exudes kindness and likability.
I now remember this is the time of year when Americans start talking about summer break and we still have 8 weeks more school to go 😭
Those comments about the diner dream made my morning! I laughed so hard reading the comments: "I don't want to see this it ruins the vision . . ."
