As a fellow Texan in Arlington (itβs not much cooler up here) I agree that Autumn IS a state of mind π. I look forward to reading your Friday posts every week!
Oh I would also very much like any hypotheses about why over half of us are oldest children!? That's fascinating.
Thanks for linking to the article on homeschooling and being WITH the children... it's my favorite to be with these two wonderful, wacky, hilarious, sneaky, angsty, creative, frustrating, curious, beautiful kids. I loved reading her take.
I enjoyed the article about reading that you linked to. About audiobooks, pretty funny quote (drinking your veggies). I feel like audio is best for light novels, which are kind of like podcasts to me. If youβre really trying to engage with ideas, for me it needs to be the paper copy. BTW, I echo what the others have said - I always look forward to the weekly 5 Quick Things. And I feel your October pain-we have a similar situation usually where I live too-California Central Valley.
Tried enthusiastically to check the survey box next to: OG *Simple Mom* blog reader and SM podcast listener π!! You introduced me to so many things my heart longed for. Iβm so grateful!
Also: Iβm an oldestβ fascinating!! I canβt put my finger on it, but for some reason it doesnβt surprise me ??

Yes, in Dallas we are living the Autumn vibe even at 95 degrees. Gotta love it!
Good for you! πͺ

I did too! Such a thoughtful, honest piece. And yes, Iβm so curious about all the oldest children here too! π€

Thank you for saying so! And yes, it doesnβt surprise me either, but I canβt put my finger on whyβ¦
Glad to have helped solve the cinnamon problem! Just another firstborn, doing her part to help out . . . . π€£
