Tish -- I'm new to your workshop, actually just glancing through the Make Your Own Rule workbook for the first time. But an instant question forms -- has this been offered as a class/workshop in a parish? Seems like, if everybody subscribed as an individual, the conversation of a structured class would be helpful for a lot of people. And, since catechesis for grownups is my deal, it seems like an interesting thought to explore. Has this been done? Have you had any feedback on its effectiveness.?
Hi Chris! You're not the first person to ask this, but I've never created anything official for local groups to go through together — though I think that's a BRILLIANT idea. I've heard of people doing this as a small group, as a family, and as local friends, so I'd imagine people have figured out how to go through the workshop together. I'll bookmark this idea in my brain and see if I can gather ideas from people! But if you do this, DO tell me how it goes — I'd love to hear!
Tish, as I indicated, I'm new to your program and will explore further with you once I've worked my way all the way through. I'm a retired Psychologist (UConn 1975), and currently in the MFA program at StThom (Poetry.) My wife and I have been doing adult catechesis together for decades. This is your stuff, and I would NEVER want to infringe on your material, but there might be a chance for an interesting collaboration here. I'll follow up.
