Thanks for all this Tsh! And happy birthday!! Your thoughts and suggestions are so fun and intriguing. Mouth taping!? Never heard of it but now so curious. Hoping for the day I meet you, this or that side of the New Earth and meanwhile, feeling grateful for your beautiful writing and ideas that bring a beam of light into my life (and the lives of my friends I forward them to).
Happy birthday, Tsh! I love this list!! I liked #41. My degree is urban planning. Nope, I don't practice it professionally (happy to be a mom and a volunteer for different things in my community instead) but it still fascinates me!
Thanks! And yes, it truly is an interesting subject! It's one of those things I truly notice when a town gets it right — I think that's why I appreciate it so much.
Oh what a treat to see this in my inbox. I read it all the way through and thank you for those nuggets of widsom. I am happy you took time away, but also, know you were missed. Happy Birthday!
Happiest of birthdays to you! This was a lovely list, and I love learning from you! I’d also love to know what your favorite protein powder is? I’m trying to incorporate more protein into my diet!
Thanks, Hannah! Right now I'm using pea protein powder because my daughter is dairy-free, but I know there's lots of good whey-based protein powders as well. Here's the one I like so far: https://amzn.to/3AUvj8k
You are welcome. I subscribe to only 3 newsletters after having cleaned out all of my electronic clutter last summer and I truly look forward to the quiet time when I get to read yours. It has become this ritual for me. I am 47, we traveled for a year with our boys pre-pandemic and so much about what you shared in At Home in World hit me in a very meaningful way. Your newsletter suggestions (like mouth taping) have seriously made a difference and your reflections about life, parenting, work and Catholicism, well those just give me a lot to think about in a beautiful way. Now if I could just get on with drinking enough water and moving the creaky joints daily. Love, Alex
You are a delight. Also, #33 on your list is exactly how I would describe how you behave. In any conversation I had with you in Italy you seemed so undeniably present. What a rare and beautiful gift you are giving to others with this way of being. Grazie! Happy Belated Birthday!

Thank you, BJ! Very kind of you to say.
And if you want to really nerd out on mouth-taping, do a search on YouTube! Seriously interesting.
Thank you for this list, I’ve bookmarked a few things to read/listen to today (forgot about those Jonathan Roumie poetry readings!)
Have a very happy birthday!
Thanks, Meghan!
Happiest of Birthdays to you Tsh! I'm glad you got a break but boy did I miss you in my inbox :) Have a great weekend!
Aw, thanks kind to hear, Shannon! Thanks so much.

Favorite place to be - Saturday morning on the couch and reading your weekly mail. Loved your pause and love that you are back. Brilliant list.
What a kind thing to say, Alex — thanks so much!
